Segnaliamo un PhD Masterclass Course in “Ways of Making and Knowing in Plant Humanities: Cultivating Understanding in Visual Cultures of Vegetation”, in programma nell’Autunno del 2025 a Copenhagen, con il patrocinio della Aarhus University. This PhD course is rooted in the research, methods, conference and exhibitions effected through the research project Skjulte Plantehistorier; kunsten at opdage interartslige forviklinger i det grønne danske hjem. Taking place in significant and diverse locations in and around Copenhagen where art and plants intersect, including Ordrupgaard, Den Hirschsprungske Samling, Statens Museum for Kunst, Statens Naturhistoriske Museum, Botaniske Have København, and Landbohøjskole, the course will unfurl over the ‘landscape’ of plant knowledge in the visual field in a Scandinavian context. The School of the Human Environment and School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University College Cork seek a highly motivated and dynamic Post-Doctoral Researcher to join the interdisciplinary Living Coasts project. Open to EU and non-EU applicants, this Research Ireland-funded project focuses on how the installation of “Living Seawalls” in Cork can promote urban coastlines as “more-than-human places” and foster improved ecological awareness and engagement surrounding ongoing and future multispecies relations at the coasts.
