In Italia Ăš primo ricercatore presso lâIstituto di Studi sulle SocietĂ del Mediterraneo del CNR. Ha pubblicato, tra lâaltro, Storia dellâambiente. Una introduzione (con S. Barca, 2000); ha curato Views from the South. Environmental histories from the Mediterranean World (2006) e Nature and History in Modern Italy (con M. Hall, 2010).
Nel 2013 ha pubblicato, per Einaudi, Le montagne della patria. Natura e nazione nella storia dâItalia. Secoli XIX e XX.

Fa parte della redazione delle riviste «Global Environment» e «Passato e Presente».

Ă responsabile scientifico del Laboratorio di Storia Orale (LabOr) dellâUniversitĂ di Padova (www.lab-or.it), allâinterno del quale ha coordinato numerosi progetti di storia economica, sociale e ambientale.
Ă direttore scientifico di âTerrevoluteâ (www.terrevolute.it), un progetto multidisciplinare iniziato nel 2014 e dedicato alla valorizzazione patrimonio materiale e immateriale dei Consorzi di bonifica.

She is Associate Professor in Economic History at the Department of Historical, Geographical and Ancient Sciences of the University of Padua.Â
She holds courses in Economic History, Environmental History, Food and Wine History, Anthropology and Society and Oral History.
She has published books and articles on the history of land reclamation in Italy and the Veneto region, essays on urban and rural history, economic history, environmental history and oral history.
She is scientific director of the Laboratory of Oral History (Labor) of the University of Padua (www.lab-or.it), in which she has coordinated numerous projects in economic, social and environmental history.
She is scientific director of âTerrevoluteâ (www.terrevolute.it), a multidisciplinary project started in 2014 and dedicated to the valorization of the material and intangible heritage of the Reclamation Consortia.
She is coordinator of the National Scientific Committee of the ‘Terrevolute 2022’ Project of the National Association of Consortia for the management and protection of the territory and irrigated waters (ANBI). She is curator and scientific manager of Terrevolute | Festival della bonifica (www.festivalbonifica.it).
